This special boxed set includes the three double DVDs The Victorian Kitchen Garden, The Victorian Flower Garden and The Victorian Kitchen.

Harry’s work was captured in the very successful and much loved series The Victorian Kitchen Garden. Retired head gardener Harry Dodson painstakingly transformed some weed-choked ground into an efficient and productive plot. The garden was cared for using Victorian tools and techniques and planted with 19th Century varieties of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

In The Victorian Flower Garden Harry re-creates horticultural history to demonstrate how simple and exotic flowers were cultivated. He also finds time to create the wonderful floral decorations at a Victorian wedding and a grand musical.

Harry Dodson is joined by Ruth Mott in The Victorian Kitchen to revive the relationship between the head gardener and a cook of a large country house. They demonstrate how meals were prepared in Victorian times.

The series are presented by lecturer in horticulture, Peter Thoday.
