Acorn Media UK is free to withdraw from a prospective contract at any time prior to processing payment.
You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the order, the details of which you must check are correct. You have the right to notify Acorn Media UK of any errors in the order. If you do not do so within 24 hours of receiving this email, Acorn Media UK will be entitled to assume the details of the order as set out in the confirmation are accurate. This confirmatory email does not indicate receipt of payment and does not constitute a contract.
Acorn Media UK may refuse to accept any order where delivery is required to be made overseas. Shipments to international delivery addresses may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once a parcel reaches that country. Any such additional charges must be borne by you. Please note that international shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Payment
Credit and debit cards are debited on the day of despatch by Acorn Media UK.
If a pricing error is discovered of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. If you place an order and the price published on the website is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you prior to debiting payment for the goods to inform you of the correct price and ascertain whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was advertised at an incorrect price before payment for the goods has been received. We shall give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or if you so wish, to cancel the order altogether.
Delivery
Acorn Media UK aims to deliver all orders within 14 days of receiving your order. Your order may be delayed if any item is not in stock. Some items may not be available and we are not able to supply dates when our suppliers may get an item in stock.
We shall have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered that is due to any event outside our control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, flood, fire, labour disputes, strikes, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, explosion, governmental actions and any similar events.
In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, Acorn Media UK shall, at its own discretion, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund to you the amount you paid for the goods in question provided that you notify us of the problem within 30 days of delivery of the goods. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your order by contacting our office prior to us processing the order. You may also cancel an order within 30 days of receipt of the goods, providing all goods are returned undamaged and in the condition they were delivered. All goods must be returned at your own cost as soon as possible after cancellation of the order. Any sum debited to Acorn Media UK will be re-credited to the credit card account as soon as possible on receipt at our offices of returned goods, this sum will be minus the postage and packing costs incurred by Acorn Media UK. Where you exercise your right to cancel, you bear the risk of loss of or damage to the goods until they have been received by us.
Acorn Media UK reserves the right to make a charge for collecting goods from your premises in circumstances where they are not defective but you have cancelled your order. Your statutory rights are not affected.
