When we started Acorn Video, we did so for a reason. We saw that many quality classic TV series and films were being ignored by the High Street and we believe passionately that people should be able to own a part of broadcasting and film history.

We set out to bring you the best viewing experience in our power and we hope that we have succeeded.

In the months and years to come Acorn will bring you more of the programmes that mean so much as well as modern classics that will become future treasures.

Please tell us what other titles you would like to see featured on our pages. Any feedback offered is gratefully received and where possible, acted upon.

You will notice more and more titles offered in both VHS and DVD but please can we remind you that the VHS videos offered are in PAL format only so can only be played on video recorders that accept this format.

HISTORY

Acorn Media UK was launched in 1997 by our parent company, Acorn Media Publishing Inc. which, after many years of successfully marketing UK programmes in the USA decided on a “coals to Newcastle” approach.

Some of the same titles already being sold in the USA were launched for the home market as well as brand new releases.

Now, after many years of getting to know our customers, we think we can offer a range that will appeal to all tastes and pockets.
